Hello,
My name is Lisa Davis, and I am running for re-election as Capistrano Unified School District Trustee for Area 3. It has been my privilege to engage in meaningful discussion between students, faculty, and families to prioritize the student's education. My focus is putting the students first.
During my tenure on the school board, I have worked tirelessly to ensure that our schools provide a safe, supportive, and high-quality education for all students. I served as President of CAA (College and Career Advantage) where I expanded high-quality, relevant, and engaging career technical education. I understand the values we cherish and I am focused on addressing the needs and concerns of our district effectively.
I have always put students first and pushed for more transparency and parental involvement in the classroom!
As your representative on the Capistrano Unified School District Board of Trustees, I will continue to fight for:
Safe Schools - Prioritize the safety of students and faculty by implementing measures that foster a safe and secure learning environment.
Parental Involvement - Promote and strengthen the crucial role of parents and guardians as partners in their child's education.
Academics Over Agendas - Focus on academic excellence and remove political agendas from the classroom.
Student Success - Maintain high graduation rates and provide every student with a high-quality education that equips them with the tools, skills, and training to thrive in college or the workforce.
Fiscal Responsibility - Manage district resources wisely, ensuring resources are directed to the classroom and funds are effectively used to enrich students through educational programs.
At CUSD, we are blessed to have wonderful students, parents and faculty. I am committed to continuing to work hard to improve our schools, support our teachers, expand parental involvement, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
My background in education, business, and community leadership, combined with my proven track record on the CUSD Board of Trustees, uniquely positions me to continue making a positive impact on our district.

Meet Lisa Davis
Lisa is passionate about education, having spent 14 years as an elementary and middle school teacher. She believes in the importance of every aspect of school life, from recess to rigorous academics. Lisa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and a Master’s Degree in Education.
In addition to her career in education, Lisa and her husband have successfully run Industrial Fire Protection, a fire extinguisher company, for 29 years. Her dedication to community service is evident through her leadership roles as a Girl Scout Troop leader and as a Camp Director for 200 girls aged 12-18. She also supported her children’s education as a room mom almost every year during their elementary school years.
Lisa married her high school sweetheart, Brent. They have been married for 34 years and have raised four incredible children. Three of their children graduated from San Clemente High School, and the family has enjoyed living in San Clemente for the past nine years.
Lisa is an avid hiker, road biker, and traveler who loves the beach and spending time with family and friends. She is deeply committed to her community and believes in the power of education to transform lives.
